Job Description: JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for planning and leading the operational activities of Lahore Plant warehouese and satellite warehouses across Pakistan, covering manpower and material resources to ensure the timely availability and delivery of seed through effective management of inventory, regional warehouses and delivery processes. Responsible for coordinating with Sales Manager, Agronomy Manager, Production Manager, SPL and Supply Accountant for the information needed on supply planning and updating of commercial and pre-commercial seeds. Responsible for coordinating with Field Manager, Production Manager and Regional/Global counterpart for the information needed on supply planning and updating of parent seeds. The jobholder will ensure that products are received, stored and released following approved procedures using prescribed forms. Position holder will provide weekly and monthly stock movement, trade schedules, and quality status reports to immediate supervisor. He will ensure safety and quality of goods in the warehouse by implementing established pest management and other related procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibility
1) Ensure sufficient and timely availability of products
Commercial Seeds
• On a monthly basis, coordinate with Sales team on its updated positioning target by customers.
• On a monthly basis, provide Inventory & Quality Status, and Reserve & Discard List to all concerned for Supply Planning review and further evaluation and decision
• Coordinate with Production Manager and/ or Supply Accountant on the information to be entered in the web system database
• On a weekly basis, provide Positioning Target vs. Actual Delivery Analysis including supply issues and concerns to all concerned for update & immediate resolution
• On a weekly basis, coordinate with Plant Incharge on packaging requirement, schedule, progress and discuss immediately with QA&Plant Supervisor for any issue related to packaging priorities
• Ensure efficient and timely operation of product movements to and from company warehouses and/or to and from dealer’s warehouse.
• Ensure that Freight, Trucking and Handling requirements are properly evaluated, provided, coordinated and completed.
Pre-Commercial Seeds
• On a monthly basis, coordinate with Agronomy Manager for their updated demo & trial requirements
• On a monthly basis, review inventory & quality status including the standing crops to determine issues and concerns and work with Production Manager for immediate resolution
• Coordinate with Production Manager and/ or Supply Accountant on the information to be entered in the web system database
• On a weekly basis, coordinate with Plant Incharge on conditioning and packaging requirement, schedule, progress and discuss immediately with QA&Plant supervisor in case of any issue
• On a weekly basis, review the status of demo & trial repacking and provide update to all concerned
Parent Seeds
• On a monthly basis, coordinate with Field Operations Supervisor to get updated information on new crops and enter in the web system database.
• Coordinate with AP Supply Planning/ Logistics counterpart on the information entered in the web system database including trade requirements
• Ensures that inventory and quality status database is maintained and data encoding is done in a timely and accurate manner.
• On a monthly basis, coordinate with Production MAnager on updated Volume Plan and update Inventory Planning Worksheet and provide update on inventory issues and concerns.
• Coordinate & finalize with Production Manager, SDI and Field Operations Supervisor on needed products and volume to be sourced out based supply planning including delivery plan/schedule of imports and/or product transfer
• Ensure that Freight, Trucking and Handling requirements are properly evaluated, provided, coordinated and completed.

2) Ensure that products are received and issued in accordance to established standards and procedures and ensure that electronic/ manual inventory system is updated and accurate
• Ensure that traded / transferred/ withdrawn products are accounted, evaluated and received with proper and complete documentation
• Ensure that products are properly segregated, tagged, stored and accounted in the warehouse & cold storage
• Ensure that product delivery and/or withdrawal requests are reviewed & transportation requirement are scheduled efficiently with proper & complete documentation
• Ensure that inventory system database is maintained and data encoding is done timely and accurately
• Ensure that weekly/ monthly stock movement report, inventory & quality status and other related reports including discrepancy, reconciliation and adjustment report, if any are checked, reported and filed.
• Ensure all logistics issues are monitored and resolved in proper & timely way
• Ensure proper and consistent compliance of procedures and policies of the company & government

3) Ensure safety and quality of products in company and dealers’ warehouses
• Ensure warehouse orderliness, cleanliness and regular pest control to ensure safety of the employees/ workers and quality of the products (Housekeeping)
• Ensure that products and warehouse equipment are stored & maintained correctly and safely
• Ensure proper and consistent compliance of procedures and policies on product quality sampling and evaluation.
• Ensure that company’s assets and equipment in the warehouse & dealer’s warehouse are properly maintained and secured.
• Coordinate with Production Manager on any significant warehouse maintenance and repair activities.
• Schedule regular visit of dealers' warehouses & stores, evaluate warehousing/storing practices & procedures implementation and recommend necessary changes
• Recommend to Production Manager for any warehouse space need
• Involve in the review of warehouse contracts, if necessary

4) Ensure implementation of programs on SHE, Ethics and People Treatment.
• Ensure that all identified applicable trainings are cascaded and implemented by the location
• Ensure compliance on wearing PPEs required in the location
• Ensure that implementation tools (e.g. safety first meeting, STOP, etc.) are utilized
• Conduct routine inspection and audit in the location to assess implementation of programs
• Ensure that approved preventive/ corrective actions based on inspection & audit findings are implemented/ done in timely manner

5) Perform other functions as assigned by Production Manager and/ or Local Management
• Perform as Program Leader of one or more SHE & ISO programs as assigned
• Assist in updating regional web database for commercial supply planning as requested by Supply Accountant



QUALIFICATIONS:

Education MBA or Graduation with warehousing and supply chain experience

Experience 5-7 years related experience with 2-3 years at a supervisory level
